PETALING JAYA: Malaysian football legend Datuk Soh Chin Aun’s remarkable number of 195 international caps has been overtaken by Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Although Chin Aun’s overall appearances was recorded by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) as 252 caps, only 195 of them were counted as A-category matches.
In Saturday’s quarter-final match against Morocco in ongoing World Cup in Qatar, the 37-year-old Ronaldo came on in the second-half to play his 196th game for Portugal.
